1 Scope

This part of ISO 22745 specifies a specialization of ISO/TS 29002-6 that is a conceptual information model and a exchange file format for OTDs. The conceptual model is in Unified Modeling Language (UML). The physical file format is based on Extensible Markup Language (XML).

The following are within the scope of this part of ISO 22745:

• specification of a conceptual model for OTDs;

  NOTE 1  The conceptual model is defined in ISO/TS 29002-6 and referenced with constraints in this part of ISO 22745.

• specification of the serialization of specific elements within an OTD for the purpose of exchanging them via web services.

  NOTE 2  The serialization is defined in ISO/TS 29002-6 and referenced with constraints in this part of ISO 22745.

The following are outside the scope of this part of ISO 22745:

• specification of a conceptual model and exchange format for identification guides;

  NOTE 3  These are specified in ISO/TS 22745-30.

• specification of a conceptual model and exchange format for master data;

  NOTE 4  These are specified in ISO/TS 22745-40.

• exchange format for a complete OTD.
