Any data file for which conformance to this part of ISO 22745 is claimed shall:
be well-formed XML;

be an instance of a global element defined in the Terminology Service Dictionary XML schema (see Annex B) that is valid with respect to the Terminology Service Dictionary XML schema;

conform to ISO/TS 29002-6;
satisfy the requirements of Clause 5;
be valid with respect to the Query for Characteristic Data Schematron schema for OTDs (see Annex B).

Any instances of the item entity in the data file, defined in ISO/TS 29002-10, shall conform to ISO/TS 22745-40.
NOTE 5 ISO/TS 22745-40 is a specialization of ISO/TS 29002-10.
Any data specification referenced in the data file shall conform to ISO/TS 22745-30.
Any reference within the data file to a concept dictionary entry shall be to an entry in an OTD that conforms to ISO 22745-1.
Any external identifier within the data file shall conform to ISO 22745-13.
ISO/TS 29002-31 provides for a number of options that may be supported by an implementation. These options have been grouped into the following conformance classes:
CC1: Simple Query;
CC2: Parametric Query.
These conformance options are carried over to this part of ISO 22745.
